Kendrick Lamar beats Drake's record as he makes history after Super Bowl halftime show
Kendrick Lamar and Drake's feud is no secret and it seems the Not Like Us hitmaker has come out on top after surpassing 88 million Spotify monthly listeners.

Kendrick Lamar has reason to celebrate as he's become the rapper with the highest monthly listeners in Spotify history, surpassing the likes of his rival Drake.
The Not Like Us hitmakernow has more than 88.8million monthly listeners on the streaming giant. The previous record had been held by Drake.
Kendrick's surge in listeners comes following his highly anticipated performance at the Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show. Kendrick's performance is believed to have attracted more than 133 million viewers, beating a record previously set by Michael Jackson.

Fans were amazed Kendrick has now beat Drake's Spotify record. "At this point Kendrick is just salting the earth behind him," one person joked on Reddit.
Another person pointed out, "He just now passed Drake? lol," while someone else said, "I haven't listened to rap as much since my high school days, but Kendrick got me listening again."
A fourth fan agreed, "Reasons for optimism - the seed of hope is RIGHT HERE. I haven't listened to him before - I'm listening now..."
One Drake critic posted, " Good. Drake is horrendous and Kendrick is a legitimately talented songwriter and performer."

Drake seemingly retaliated during a concert in Melbourne, Australia, hitting out at Kendrick's Super Bowl show with a lyric change.
The musician changed a lyric to his song Knife Talk earlier this week. Originally, the lyric goes, “Beef is live, spoiler alert — this n---- dies."
Instead, Drake rapped, “Beef is live, spoiler alert — I never died.”
