David Duchovny marries girlfriend Monique Pendleberry after duo spotted with wedding rings
X-Files star David Duchovny has married his longtime girlfriend Monique Pendleberry, it has been revealed.
Actor David Duchovny has married his longtime girlfriend Monique Pendleberry after six years of dating.
The couple first sparked rumors of marriage when they were seen sporting what appeared to be wedding bands while they walked around Malibu. US Weekly confirmed on Thursday, May 21 that the X-Files actor, 64, and Monique, 31, have tied the knot following the speculation.
The pair reportedly began dating in 2017 after meeting at SunLife Organics Juicery in Malibu where Monique worked, per Daily Express. The juicery was said to be owned by David's friend Khalil Rafati. According to The Daily Mail, Monique's uncle Dirk Drew confirmed to tabloids that they met at the juice compnay where she was employed. He also said at the time that his niece introduced David to her family but declared they were "friends."
Over their six-year relationship, David and Monique have made rare public appearances, including the red carpet premiere of David’s Netflix movie You People in 2023, a Los Angeles Lakers game in January 2024, and a New York City outing in September 2024.
This is not David's first marriage as he was previously married to actress Téa Leoni from 1997 to 2014. The former couple briefly separated in 2008 as the Californication star went to rehab for sex addiction. They reconciled a few months later and broke up again in 2011 until Téa filed for divorce in 2014. Téa and David share two children, daughter West, 26, and son Kyd, 22.
Despite their divorce, the exes have remained amicable and also co-parent their children together. In an article with Parade in September 2014, Téa spoke about co-parenting with David.
"David gave me the two greatest gifts on the planet," The Madam Secretary star told the outlet. "I don’t know how I could ever hate him. We’ve always loved each other, and we adore these kids. I’m not playing stupid. I understand feelings can get hurt and things can get icky. We’ve had our moments like that. But these kids are too important, and he feels the same way, I know it. He’s a good guy."
In the same article, David echoed Téa's sentiment about each other: "Téa and I had a long time together; we’ll always be connected and there for each other."
Téa is currently dating her Madam Secretary co-star Tim Daly in 2014.
