Lizzo has given fans an intimate look into her weight loss journey, expressing that she is "so happy and proud" of her progress to date.

Earlier this year, the 37-year-old singer disclosed that she had shed 16% of her body fat due to a comprehensive lifestyle revamp. This included consuming a diet rich in protein, maintaining a regular workout routine, and receiving lymphatic massages.

She also revealed that she had been taking Ozempic, a diabetes medication known for its ability to lower blood sugar levels by stimulating insulin production in the pancreas.

Although not officially approved for weight loss, the drug's active ingredient, semaglutide, can help regulate appetite, promoting feelings of fullness and reducing cravings.

On Thursday, Lizzo took to social media to update fans on her transformation journey, extending gratitude to spa owner Flavia Lanini for her support throughout the process.

The Good as Hell singer shared snapshots from her visits to the health center, including one of her first lymphatic massage session and another from a recent visit.

Lizzo revealed that she works out three times a week and incorporates daily sauna and cardio sessions into her routine, reports the Mirror US.

She also mentioned hiring a chef to assist with meal preparation, ensuring she regularly consumes protein and keeps a close eye on her dietary intake. Notably, she has eliminated sugary Starbucks beverages, full-fat sodas, and chips from her diet.

While she refrained from alcohol consumption for a while, she admitted to reintroducing moderate drinking into her lifestyle.

Lizzo shared her dynamic approach to wellness, including playing pickleball, hiking, walking, dancing, and staying hydrated. She embraces a range of therapeutic practices such as holistic body work, wood therapy, and lymphatic massages.

Celebrating her progress, she captioned her recent post with a shoutout, "THIS IS A @flavialanini APPRECIATION POST. The photo on the left is my first time getting lymphatic massage from Flavia, and the right is the most recent! In light of all these magazines and blogs wanting me to be on Ozempic soooo bad - here's the truth!"

Dedicated to her fitness journey, Lizzo remarked, "I work my a-- off, training 3x a week, daily sauna and cardio, adding animal protein back into my diet, hiring a chef who helps me meal prep and keeps track of what I put into my body in a calorie deficit, cutting out sugary Starbucks and full fat sodas and potato chips... I quit drinking for the longest... (but I'm drinking again cus I earned it! ).."

Continuing to reveal her lifestyle habits, Lizzo added, "I play pickleball and hike and walk on the beach and move my body and dance and drink water. I detox! Once a month! I also get holistic body work done, wood therapy, and lymphatic massage. I'm so happy and proud of what I've done and no one can take that away from me."

Fans lauded the singer for her candidness regarding her weight loss, asserting that she owed no one an explanation. One person expressed support with "We loved you THEN and we love you NOW," while another suggested, "It shouldn't matter if you did use Ozempic or any other weight loss drug. It's not cheating any more than hiring a personal trainer and a chef is. Some people need a bit of extra help, and that's ok."

A different fan commented, "And so what if you were? People's unhealthy obsession with how folks lose weight yet body shame plus-sized people need to be studied. Some actually need assistance, and there is nothing wrong with that. Anywhoooo....you look fantastic! You're an inspiration!" Additionally, someone commended the idea of enlisting professional help, remarking, "I'm so glad you included hiring a chef cause that's a game changer."

Another admirer praised her efforts, saying, "What hard work looks like. You should be so proud of yourself. Beautiful then beautiful now."

Also, an enthusiastic supporter advised, "Keep doing what is obviously working for you!! You look absolutely amazing!!"

In response to rampant rumors surrounding her weight loss, Lizzo finally disclosed on Trisha Paytas' Just Trish podcast that she had used Ozempic at the start of her weight loss journey in 2023 but soon recognized that relying on GLP-1 medication was not a sustainable strategy.

Lizzo explained, "I tried everything. Ozempic works because you eat less food, yeah? So if you eat right, it makes you feel full.

"But if you can just do that on your own and get mind over matter, it's the same thing."

In terms of achieving her weight loss goal, Lizzo stressed that changing her eating habits played a pivotal role.

Having followed a plant-based diet for several years, she eventually adopted veganism before switching to a protein-rich omnivorous diet in October 2024.
