A new book about the 2024 election revealed never-heard-before audio of Donald Trump claiming he threatened a handful of world leaders.

Donald Trump bragged that he threatened to “bomb the sh*t out of Moscow” to Vladimir Putin’s face if he invaded Ukraine, according to newly released recordings.

The then-former U.S. president made the claims last year while campaigning to retake the White House. Speaking to donors, Trump claimed he issued the explosive warning directly to the Russian leader.

“With Putin, I said ‘If you go into Ukraine, I’m gonna bomb the sh*t out of Moscow,’” Trump said in the recording.

“‘I’m telling you, I have no choice.’ So he goes, like, ‘I don’t believe you.’ He said, ‘No way.’ And I said, ‘Way.’”

Trump then added that Putin only believed him “ten percent."

Authors Josh Dawsey, Tyler Pager and Isaac Arnsdorf obtained the tapes, including them in their new book "2024: How Trump Retook the White House and the Democrats Lost America."

The audio offers a rare insight into private conversations with Putin that Trump has long alluded to but refused to detail.

In a 2022 interview with Fox News, he claimed to have had a “very strong conversation” with the Russian leader about Ukraine, but refused to disclose details, saying: “Nobody has to know that.”

Trump has repeatedly insisted that the Ukraine war would not have begun under his leadership.

However, since his return to office in January, the conflict has escalated significantly, with hundreds dead and no sign of resolution.

Despite repeatedly vowing to end the war “in 24 hours”, Trump has so far failed to broker peace.

On Tuesday, he announced the U.S. would increase military aid to Ukraine, signalling a more conventional stance amid growing frustration over stalled negotiations.

“We also talked about, as you know, the war with Ukraine,” Trump told reporters last week, referring to a recent call with Putin.“I’m not happy about that. I didn’t make any progress with him today at all.”

In another audio clip, Trump described making a similarly incendiary threat to Chinese President Xi Jinping.

“I’m with President Xi of China. I said the same thing to him. I said, you know, ‘If you go into Taiwan, I’m gonna bomb the sh*t out of Beijing.’ He thought I was crazy. He said, ‘Beijing?! You’re gonna bomb . . .’ I said, ‘I have no choice. I got to bomb you. We’re gonna bomb Bei-’ and he didn’t believe me either.”

Trump claimed Xi, too, believed him “10 percent.” “Ten percent is all you need. In fact, five percent would have been okay, too. And we never had a problem. We would have never had a problem,” he boasted.

Other recordings revealed Trump’s private comments on domestic issues, including a controversial plan to deport student protesters demonstrating in support of Palestine.

“One thing I’d do is any student that protests, I would throw them out of the country,” he told donors, prompting applause. “Those people made a big mistake. Throw them out of the country, and I think that will stop it.”

He added, “If you get me elected, we will set that movement back 25 to 30 years.”

Another tape captured Trump discussing fundraising tactics, including pressuring a billionaire to increase his donation.

“He wants to have lunch with me over a million dollars,” Trump said. “I said, ‘You’re worth five or six billion dollars, you’re talking about a million dollars, and I got to have lunch? I’m not having lunch. You got to make it 25 million.’

“And he said, ‘Oh, that sounds like a lot.’ And he did it. He gave me 25 million dollars. It’s crazy.”

The White House and the Kremlin have yet to comment on Trump’s remarks.
