Danica Patrick makes waves with another peculiar outfit on F1 broadcast
Danica Patrick had fans on social media scratching their heads, with some pointing out how her outfit was a peculiar choice for the Canadian Grand Prix.
Danica Patrick once again caught fans' attention with her outfit choice, this time at Formula 1's Canadian Grand Prix.
The former NASCAR star often gets the eyes of her fans with the outfits she wears on the golf course, which she has taken up after the conclusion of her motorsports career. Patrick also wore a controversial outfit for the Indy 500, with FOX Sports being urged by fans that the 43-year-old change her look.
As a pundit for Sky Sports, Patrick was on hand to break down the Canadian GP and as she discussed her points throughout the broadcast, fans took to social media to point out the outfit. For the broadcast, Patrick wore a black dress with a white collar, which she showed off on Instagram, with the caption: "Ohhhh Canada!"

Fans likened Patrick's outfit to bowling shoes and even alluded to the fact that the 43-year-old's attire called to mind Hollywood star Jenny Ortega's look in 'Wednesday,' which featured a similar dress. And while some fans clearly were not excited to see the dress for their own reasons, another complimented Patrick's look.
"Danica Patrick love the dress, like the style, you were looking fabulous today," the poster wrote on X upon seeing what the former NASCAR star brought to the desk.
This is not the first time fans were divided by Patrick's outfit choice at a race. During the Indy 500, the former driver was spotted wearing a one-shoulder dress that was black and white, perhaps a nod to the checkered flag she had seen so many times before during her racing career.
Fans were split on the look, with one fan writing on social media: “Get a message to Danica if you can and have her change her outfit for the day. She looks like she has a curtain draped around her.” Another had a more scathing message for Patrick and FOX, for allowing the 43-year-old to be on stage.
“The black/white diagonally striped dress on Danica Patrick is hideous and shows poorly on TV. How in the heck was such a dress chosen for TV?? Really oblivious decision there," another fan wrote.
In response to the online discourse, Patrick posted the dress on Instagram, with a caption seemingly aimed at those who were not fans of the look. “Since I was behind a desk for the broadcast yesterday….," she responded.

Along with fans disagreeing with her look, Patrick also had a disagreement with Nico Rosberg regarding the difficulty of the Canadian GP. During the broadcast, the former NASCAR star claimed the track was not "super challenging," a claim which the former F1 champion pushed back on.
"I have to disagree ever so slightly there, Danica," Rosberg began. "Montreal is one of the hardest tracks of the year, because there's so many bumps and at every kerb you have to hit it so perfectly.
"It's a real driver's track, which is why Lewis Hamilton has won all his records here and even Max Verstappen has won all the last races, because the driver can really shine here."
