NASCAR legend and FOX Sports commentator Kevin Harvick expressed concern over the speed of 23XI Racing duo Tyler Reddick and Bubba Wallace.

On Saturday night, Chase Elliottdriving a special paint scheme after making a $500K gesture—won his home race at EchoPark Speedway in Atlanta in dramatic fashion. He passed Brad Keselowski on the final lap of a chaotic race that saw 12 drivers fail to finish.

Reddick finished fourth in the Quaker State 400, while Wallace—who recently fumed about the Mexico City race—could only muster a disappointing 22nd. Neither man has impressed in 2025, which is surprising given Reddick won the regular season title a year ago.

Entering the season amid ongoing court disputes, Michael Jordan and Denny Hamlin’s 23XI Racing had three full-time cars. But with just eight races remaining in the regular season, the team has no wins.

As a result, Wallace, Reddick, and Riley Herbst are yet to book themselves a place in the postseason. Harvick admitted he is worried about their speed at this stage of the campaign.

“I would say that there are some concerns about the 23XI speed in general,” Harvick said on his ‘Happy Hour’ podcast. “I don't think Reddick has been as fast.

“I think Bubba started really well and has been kind of average, I'd say, in a lot of the most recent weeks. So I think that to me, the speed part from the 45 car is concerning to me.”

Harvick added: “I think that he's [Wallace] done a good job with his experience in keeping the cars in races and getting decent finishes out of it. But that overall raw speed I haven't seen from either one of them [him or Reddick] in several weeks.”

Wallace, in particular, struggled in Atlanta as he finished 22nd to mark a second successive race outside the top 20. His form has been awful; five of Wallace’s last eight races have seen him finish 22nd or below, with four seeing him finish between 33rd and 36th.

DON'T MISS

Wallace is right on the edge of the playoff picture, just 23 points above Ryan Preece below the cut line. Meanwhile, Reddick’s fourth-place finish extended his points gap over the cut line to 128.

Wallace, Reddick, and Herbst will all look to bring a first victory of the season for 23XI Racing in the Chicago Street Course on Sun., July 6.
