Fans are fuming after Trevor Noah's opening monologue included an 'tasteless' immigration joke as he hosts his fifth Grammy Awards.
The pressure was on Trevor Noah's opening monologue tonight as he hosted his fifth annual Grammy Awards, kicking off with an immigration dig that has viewers fuming he's 'not funny.'
As the comedian was giving shoutouts to those in attendance at music's biggest night, he included a joke as a nod to the recent mass deportations ordered by Donald Trump.
He quipped: "We're going to be honoring the best in music as voted on by the 13,000 members of the Recording Academy...and 20 million illegal immigrants" before saying he plans to enjoy the night because it "may be the last time I host anything in this country."

In another moment, introducing singer Shakira, he referred to her as 'the greatest thing out of Colombia that isn't a class A felony.'
Fans stormed social media to react to the monologue, as one wrote on X: "Trevor Noah already with an illegal immigrants joke and a Colombia joke in his opening monologue…. This is going to be a LONGGGG night."
