Friends' David Schwimmer slams 'two-faced' Hollywood co-stars f
David Schwimmer has blasted Hollywood for failing to publicly condemn antisemitism in a powerful speech at the Anti-Defamation League's Never is Now conference.
David Schwimmer is taking a stand against antisemitism.
The 58-year-old actor, known for portraying Ross Geller in NBC sitcom Friends, has used his platform at the Anti-Defamation League's Never is Now conference in New York City to call on his "heroes" to publicly denounce racial abuse.
Although he didn't mention any names, David hinted that some of these individuals had built their careers by embracing their Jewish identity or portraying Jewish characters on screen.

"Plenty of people I respect, even some of my heroes in entertainment, music, and sports, have chosen to keep a low profile and sit this one out," he stated.
He further added, "Including some whose careers have been made by leaning into their Jewish identity, and others who have won acclaim for playing Jews onscreen."
While acknowledging that some are making private efforts, he expressed disappointment in those who have remained silent publicly.
Addressing them directly, he said, "Some of them are doing a lot behind the scenes, privately and in their own way, but so many have chosen not to say anything publicly at all. And if I can say something directly to them, I really wish you would,"
Schwimmer reiterated his plea, urging them to take a stand and speak out. He stressed the significance their voices could have for their fans, community members, and those in need of solidarity.
He wrapped up his remarks by stating: "No one's asking you to solve the conflict of the Middle East. Just say that you stand with your Jewish friends, colleagues, and neighbors against hatred and what's happening on our college campuses and in our schools and to Jewish-owned businesses is totally unacceptable."
The comments come after David called on X platform owner Elon Musk to ban Kanye West following his recent anti-Semitic tirade.
"We can't stop a deranged bigot from spewing hate filled, ignorant bile...but we CAN stop giving him a megaphone, Mr. Musk," he penned.
He continued: "Kanye West has 32.7 million followers on your platform, X.
"That's twice as many people than the number of Jews in existence. His sick hate speech results in REAL LIFE violence against Jews," he exclaimed angrily.
In his odd outburst, the Carnival rapper branded himself "a Nazi" and even criticized Musk for "stealing" his Nazi swag"—presumably alluding to the SpaceX CEO's controversial gesture resembling Hitler's at President Donald Trump's inauguration on January 20.
Musk was criticized for what appeared to be a Sieg Heil salute during his address at the Presidential event, an allegation he strongly refuted.
