Buckingham Palace has responded to Prince Harry's BBC interview, which followed his unsuccessful legal bid regarding his security in the U.K.

The verdict, dismissing Harry's challenge, was delivered after the Duke of Sussex disputed an earlier decision by High Court judge Sir Peter Lane from February last year.

That decision had confirmed the Executive Committee for the Protection of Royalty and Public Figures (Ravec) was right to remove his high-level police protection while he was in Britain.

The appeal was denied on Friday by Sir Geoffrey Vos, Lord Justice Bean and Lord Justice Edis. Afterward, Harry spoke out from California to the BBC, voicing his discontent with the outcome and hinting that his father, King Charles, could have "resolved" the situation.

He also claimed his security rights in the U.K. were reduced in 2020 as a strategy to force him and Meghan Markle to stay within the royal family.

The Duke of Sussex said, "Everybody knew that they were putting us at risk in 2020 and they hoped that me knowing that risk would force us to come back."

A Palace spokesperson commented on Harry's remarks to the BBC, saying, "All of these issues have been examined repeatedly and meticulously by the courts, with the same conclusion reached on each occasion."

In the interview with the BBC, the Duke of Sussex revealed that he is not in communication with King Charles at present and is uncertain about the future. He attributed their silence to "this security stuff," stating that his father "won't speak" to him.

Furthermore, Harry expressed doubt that his father would ever discuss the court case with him.

Harry also said he hopes to one day reunite with the royal family.

"There have been so many disagreements between myself and some of my family. I would love reconciliation with my family. There's no point continuing to fight any more, life is precious," he told the BBC.

This explosive interview was aired just after the announcement of King Charles and Queen Camilla's upcoming visit to Canada this month, coinciding with Princess Charlotte's 10th birthday celebrations.
