Eddie Vedder stood up for Bruce Springsteen amidst his friend’s feud with Donald Trump.
Over the past week, the Dancing in the Dark singer has been going at it with the President of the United States ever since he called him “treasonous” during his Land of Hope and Dreams tour.
Although the two’s feud has gone on for the last decade, this one stands out as A-list stars have become involved. The last person to seemingly take part is Pearl Jam’s lead singer.

During the final night of the band’s Dark Matter tour, Eddie Vedder honored Springsteen with a cover of the singer’s My City of Ruins. Before he belted out the 2002 hit single, he weighed in on their spat.
Eddie believes Bruce’s comments at his concert were justified as “he brought up issues” but Trump’s response wasn’t as they “had nothing to do with the issues.”
"All that we heard were personal attacks and threats," the singer pointed out.
"Part of free speech is open discussion, part of democracy is healthy public discourse. The name calling is so beneath us.”
He went on to say Springsteen “has always been as pro American with his values of freedom and liberty and his justice has always remained intact.”

Trump’s response that Vedder was referring to was made on his social media platform Truth Social, where he wrote: “I see that Highly Overrated Bruce Springsteen goes to a Foreign Country to
The president went on to say he “never liked him, never liked his music, or his Radical Left Politics.”
He added: “Importantly, he’s not a talented guy — Just a pushy, obnoxious JERK, who fervently supported Crooked Joe Biden."

He concluded: “This dried out ‘prune’ of a rocker (his skin is all atrophied!) ought to KEEP HIS MOUTH SHUT until he gets back into the Country, that’s just ‘standard fare.’ Then we’ll all see how it goes for him!”
The president’s statement was made after Springsteen had issued a rallying cry to one of his audiences.
The singer said: “In my home, the America I love, the America I've written about, that has been a beacon of hope and liberty for 250 years, is currently in the hands of a corrupt, incompetent, and treasonous administration.”
He asked his fans “who believe in democracy” to “rise with us” and “raise your voices against authoritarianism and let freedom ring!"
During his speech, he also called Trump an “unfit president” and has “no concern or idea for what it means to be deeply American.”
