Selena Gomez upsets fans after watching NBA game at Beyonce's concert

Selena Gomez has upset the Beyhive after turning her attention away from the stage at Beyonce’s concert.

The Texas Hold Em singer is currently on the road promoting her first country album Cowboy Carter, which won two Grammy Awards earlier this year. The stadium tour has received a lot of attention amongst not only fans but Hollywood as well with stars like Oprah Winfrey and Gayle King amongst the audience.

Selena is the latest celebrity to attend a show, specifically the one closest to where she is currently filming the next season of Only Murders in the Building.

While attending Beyonce’s show at Metlife Stadium in New Jersey, the actress took to Instagram with a elfie wearing a fitting cowboy hat that featured an all over star pattern and a label with the album’s name.

She accompanied the black and white picture with a caption that read, “To the queen B we praise.”

Once the show started, the singer shared another snap but not with Beyonce’s performance as the focus. Selena’s photo captured her phone against a glass, streaming the Knicks vs. Pacers NBA playoff game.

To the photo, she added: "Still got my eye on the game."

It wasn’t long after that post that fans took to X with their furious reactions.

One said: "She must be her own biggest enemy because imagine going to a Beyoncé concert, sitting your ass way back there, watching basketball on your phone AND being PROUD ENOUGH TO POST THAT.”

“All I'm gonna say is a true musician wouldn't treat a Beyoncé concert as background noise,” another added.

A third wrote: “She should’ve watched the performance to learn what good vocals and stage presence looks like.”

“Her disrespect…. Who does she think she is? Think about all the Beyoncé fans that dreamed abi it attending and here she is being ungrateful af,” a fourth responded.

As the Beyhive continued to defend their artist, the Selenators chimed into the conversation to support theirs.

Someone mentioned: “I live in NYC and plenty of my friends who went to the Cowboy Carter show last night also had the game on their phones… I'm not a basketball fan but apparently it's been a big deal."

"I've been at concerts I've loved while frantically refreshing my tennis scores app, so I get it,” a fan added.

Beyoncé will be on tour all summer and performing in cities like Chicago, New York, and Houston. She also has a handful of shows overseas in London and Paris.
