Brooklyn and Nicola have been grabbing headlines amidst a reported rift with their folks, David and Victoria Beckham.

Amidst this family drama, it's come to light that Selena Gomez has been a pillar of support for Nicola.

Selena Gomez, the ex-Disney Channel darling, got engaged to Benny Blanco earlier this year, and insiders suggest she's using her own wedding prep to help distract Nicola from the tension.

"Selena is always there for her friends if, and when they need anything," a source confided to DailyMail.com. "She has been messaging Nicola and trying to keep her mind off the drama."

The informant added that Selena "loves getting Nicola's advice" on her impending wedding. Another insider expressed to the outlet that Selena is "hopeful" the Beckhams will mend fences.

The two became fast friends after crossing paths at the Academy Museum Gala in 2022, growing so close they even got matching "angel" tattoos.

According to The Mirror, sources say Nicola and Brooklyn felt heartbroken over not seeing his parents during a recent London visit.

"Nicola encourages Brooklyn to see his family and is usually the reason Brooklyn does see his family. They are both devastated," revealed an insider, "They cannot believe that Victoria and David refused to see them privately after they travelled all the way to London specifically to try to repair the relationship."

The source continued, "As parents, it's shocking that Victoria and David are behaving this way... instead of privately discussing the issue. Victoria and David (appear to) have no interest in finding a solution that works for everyone."

There seems to be no end in sight for the family drama, with David and his eldest son Brooklyn unable to coordinate a meeting last week, though both were in London.

Adding fuel to the fire, Brooklyn and Nicola did not attend David's grand 50th birthday celebration in London, despite flying over to the UK supposedly to join the festivities with the soccer icon privately.

Additionally, Brooklyn didn't publicly recognize his father, David, or his mother, Victoria's, birthdays last month.
