Sydney Sweeney drops update on single life after ending 6-year relationship with fiancé

While some people will be down in the dumps after ending their six-year-long relationship, the same can't be said for Sydney Sweeney.

Earlier this year, the Euphoria actress cut ties with her ex, Jonathan Davino, after six years of being together, three of which they were engaged.

In a new interview published by the Sunday Times on Saturday, the 27-year-old actress confirmed she’s “loving” being single, adding: "I’m learning a lot about myself, spending more time with my friends. And I’m loving it."

The pair officially called it quits in March after canceling their wedding earlier that month. At the time, a source told Us Weekly that they were having “major issues” in their relationship.

The Anyone But You star was also reportedly “extremely busy” with her work schedule and “couldn’t handle the stress” of wedding planning.

“She’s exactly where she wants to be. Most people would feel overwhelmed by her working schedule this year, but not Syd. She’s all about working right now and very excited about all her projects,” a separate insider shared with People about the breakup.

“What did make her overwhelmed, though, was her relationship and her wedding. She didn’t feel right about it,” the source added.

According to the insider, the Euphoria star was choosing to prioritize her “magical career.”

“She’s not ready to settle down,” the source went on, noting: “They only lasted for this long because it was hard for her to break it off. They didn’t split because there is no love. They split because she just wants to focus on her career right now.”

And it seems Sydney has been living single life to the fullest as she has been frequently spotted out and about in high spirits.

Last month, she was caught looking cosy with 35-year-old Machine Gun Kelly in Las Vegas. She also fueled romance rumors with her Anyone But You co-star Glen Powell after they both attended his sister Leslie’s wedding in April.

But Glen's mother shut down the rumors, saying they were “definitely” not together.

Sweeney was also seen sharing a flirty exchange with her The Housemaid co-star Brandon Sklenar at Stagecoach festival later that month.

But a source told Us Weekly that “they are just really good friends, and Sydney is living her best life right now.”
