Justin Baldoni’s body double is describing what it was like working on It Ends with Us, six months after Blake Lively filed a lawsuit against Baldoni and the film’s production company.

“You could tell that the set was tense. There was some discomfort from everybody,” said Thomas Canestraro, 38, in a recent interview with The Daily Mail.

He added that shooting was disordely, leaving him to often ask himself: “What’s happening here? Why are we taking so much time to film all of this scene? Why are we not on schedule?”

Canestraro said he had a good experience with Lively, 37, when they worked together on A Simple Favor in 2018. “I had an extremely easy time with her,” he said.

But while filming It Ends with Us, he said she seemed different. “She appeared more closed off.”

Another source told People: “It makes sense that she would be closed off given her allegations.”

In December 2024, Lively filed a sexual harassment complaint against Baldoni, alleging misconduct during the film’s production.

She also claimed Baldoni and his team attempted to damage her reputation through a retaliatory campaign.

Baldoni denied the accusations and filed a $400 million countersuit the following month against Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds, and her publicist Leslie Sloane. His lawsuit alleges defamation, extortion, and other claims.

Canestraro said: “I don’t want to be on any team. I hope they can find an agreement between them. We don’t need that in the industry. At the same time, you can’t discredit anybody’s feelings, and anybody’s experience.”

The legal cases are expected to go to trial in March 2026.
