Comedic mastermind Ricky Gervais has shared a somber health update, cautioning fans to brace for his "increasingly decrepit" appearance as he ages.
The creator of Afterlife has confessed that even walking is becoming painful, and it's all downhill from here.
In an interview with ABC News, the 63-year-old star of The Office lamented: "My health is getting worse and worse. This is as good as it'll ever be [health-wise]. It's not like I will get better. Do you know what I mean? They won't go, 'Oh, he is 70 now. Oh, he was terrible at 60.'"

Gervais humorously described his daily struggles, saying, "But this is it. I'm reminded every day that I'm getting older. Everything is sort of just slower and aches more.
"When I walk downstairs, it's like I've got false legs like pirate legs - I'm just stiff. It all just hurts. And I just fall about over the day and then start again the next day."
He quipped about his home pharmacy: "Honestly, our drugs cabinet is amazing. I have got a bunion, and I've got a little spongy thing I have to put on my toe. If I walk too far, it starts to hurt, but I'll just carry them."
With his typical dark humor, Gervais added, "I'll just carry on until I just die. Sometimes I even Google cancer, so I get there straight away (with my self-diagnosis). It is like I can't wait."
On a lighter note, Ricky Gervais has revealed the initial London performances for his eagerly awaited new stand-up show MORTALITY, set to take place at the Wembley OVO Arena on Friday, 31st October 2025, and a six-night run at the London Palladium in October 2025.
