Beyonce broke royal protocol during first meeting with Meghan and Prince Harry
Beyonce and Jay-Z met Meghan Markle and Prince Harry at the UK premiere of The Lion King in 2019 - but the musical duo reportedly broke royal protocol during their first meeting
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry reminisce on pregnancy experience
In 2019, the Lion King premiere in central London saw a meeting of global music icons and British royalty when Beyoncé and her husband Jay-Z encountered Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
However, it's been suggested that the power couple may have unintentionally breached Royal protocol.
Entertainment Tonight's insider reported that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex made their red carpet appearance before Beyoncé and Jay-Z arrived at the premiere, even though the musical pair were just behind them. According to Royal etiquette, guests should be in place before the royals arrive.

The source further alleged that Beyoncé and Jay-Z "completely upstaged" the Royal duo due to the louder applause they received from fans at the premiere, thanks to their massive fan following. This premiere marked the first meeting between the two couples.
Royal commentator Katie Nicholl also confirmed to Entertainment Tonight: "Well, Beyonce did break protocol because she turned up after the royals. Well, that is a big no-no because when it's a royal premiere, the royals should be the last people to arrive."
Footage also emerged showing Beyoncé and Meghan sharing a hug, which the expert described as "not what we usually expect" in terms of Royal protocol. The music superstars also extended their congratulations to Harry and Meghan on the birth of their newborn baby Archie.
Meghan and Harry's first public encounter with Beyoncé and her husband Jay-Z took place in London at the premiere of Disney's 2019 remake of The Lion King, which showcased Beyoncé's music and featured her voice as the character Nala.
Today, the Duchess of Sussex unveiled a surprise bonus episode of her podcast Confessions of a Female Founder, featuring Beyoncé's mom, Tina Knowles, as the unexpected guest.

During their conversation, the two delved into Knowles' recently launched memoir, 'Matriarch,' and explored what it entails to establish a business from the ground up.
This podcast episode was recorded prior to Harry and Meghan's evening spent at Beyoncé's Cowboy Carter tour.
The duchess had previously posted photos on Instagram from one of the Los Angeles concerts, captioning: "About last night... Thank you, Beyonce and team, for an amazing concert (and a very fun date night)! All love."
In the same episode, Meghan Markle shared her aspirations of possibly creating a future business venture with her daughter, Princess Lilibet, inspired by the entrepreneurial spirit she discussed with Knowles regarding her joint haircare line with Beyoncé.
The duchess muses about a potential collaboration with Lilibet saying, "I wonder if one day I'll be in business with Lily and we'll be building something," to which Knowles responded enthusiastically, "That's the best."
