Tribeca Film Festival has brought a new group of fans this year as stars from the early 2000s take over the red carpets.
The annual film festival, held in New York City, regards itself as they place where artists and diverse audiences come together to “celebrate storytelling in all its forms, including film, TV, music, audio storytelling, games, and immersive.”
Throughout the years, it has attracted an array of Hollywood stars like Dakota Johnson, Blake Lively, Martin Scorsese and Bradley Cooper, who made an appearance at a screening just this weekend.

This year’s affair has attracted a new set of celebrities, specifically ones who rose to fame during the Y2K era.
During the second day of the film festival, Miley Cyrus riled up the nostalgic audience as she walked the red carpet for the premiere of her film Something Beautiful.
According to the festival’s website, the singer has released a “one-of-a-kind pop opera featuring thirteen original new songs from the Something Beautiful album.”
The 55-minute musical takes music from her new album Something Beautiful, which was released on May 30.
During the world premiere, she spoke to a sold-out theater about the project and even delighted fans with a live performance of her hit 2009 single The Climb.
While she rose to fame a little later than the Disney Channel star, Mackenzie Ziegler was still admired by the Gen-Z crowd.
The Dance Moms star made her feature film debut on Thursday when she attended the world premiere of She Dances, a drama film focused on a strained relationship between a father and teenage daughter, who is set to perform at her last dance competition.

Considering she tied the knot just days before the premiere, she did not make an appearance. However, fans still came to support her new project as one fan said: “She did amazing, I’m so proud of her.”
