Selena Gomez and Hailey Bieber unfollow each other again despite public truce
Selena Gomez and Hailey Bieber have unfollowed each other on social media, sparking new speculation about their long-rumoured feud
Selena Gomez and Hailey Bieber have unfollowed each other on social media, prompting speculation that tensions between the two may be rising again.
Fans spotted the move this week, and many were surprised, given that both women have tried to put rumours of a feud to rest in the past.
Selena, 32, and Hailey, 28, have repeatedly denied any bad blood, despite years of gossip about their links to Justin Bieber.

Selena dated Justin on and off for years until 2018, when they split for good and he quickly began a relationship with Hailey.
In 2022, the pair posed together for a photo, hoping to quiet speculation. Around the same time, Selena urged her fans to stop sending “hate” towards Hailey online.
In 2023, they went a step further and started following each other on Instagram. The women then exchanged likes on each other’s posts for the next couple of years, hinting that any tensions had been put aside.
Hailey liked a post announcing Selena’s engagement to Benny Blanco last December, and Selena liked a post about Hailey’s Rhode beauty line being sold in Sephora. The gesture was significant, as Sephora is the official stockist of Selena’s Rare Beauty brand.
However, this latest unfollow has surprised both fandoms. “Selena saw that Hailey became richer than her and got super jealous,” one person commented.

Another argued: “Selena has no reason to be jealous, if anything it’s the other way around.”
A third added: “Not again this stupid drama…imagine how tired we are.”
Last month, speculation grew when Hailey announced that Rhode had been acquired by E.l.f. Cosmetics in a $1 billion deal.
Hailey will stay on as founder, as well as Chief Creative Officer and Head of Innovation. The very next day, Rare Beauty posted two photos of her with the caption: “Still here.”
One image showed her blowing a kiss, and the other featured a sultry straight face as fans wondered if this was aimed at Hailey.
“It seems like Hailey is always on her mind. Pathetic,” one person replied. Another said: “The way she’s actually shady as hell.”
