Sad reason Brian Burkheiser split from band I Prevail as fans say it 'cuts like a knife'
Brian Burkheiser has parted ways with I Prevail after battling a rare condition that causes chronic neck and throat pain, leaving fans devastated.
The announcement that Brian Burkheiser has parted ways with the band I Prevail has left fans heartbroken, a scenario they had hoped would never unfold.
The underlying cause of his departure has been revealed. Burkheiser was struggling with a scary illness called Eagles Syndrome, an uncommon condition characterized by an extended styloid process causing persistent neck and throat pain.
He endured years of intense symptoms, which he described as both mentally and physically crippling.

Supporters have taken to Reddit to express their sorrow over Brian's exit. One fan lamented: "Wow. I honestly thought this was a joke when I read it but it's not even April. I know I Prevail aren't really liked here but I love them, they were my biggest gateway into this style of music. Seeing Brian go honestly cuts like a knife."
Continuing the outpouring of concern, another added: "I know Brian has mental and physical health issues, and he and his wife recently had a baby. Hope everything's okay for him,", reports The Mirror.
Speculation about his health being the reason for his shocking departure from the band wasn't such a shock to some, as one person commented on Instagram: "I was assuming he was out for health reasons and wasn't surprised at this announcement."
A heated exchange ensued when one fan criticized another's perceived insensitivity towards Brian's health situation, stating: "This is speculation but it is probably linked to his battle with eagle syndrome. It can make it so some literally cannot speak because they can't open their mouth. I wish Brian all the best and hope he find peace but damn the fan base is gross and entitled."
Brian is exiting the band, and his fellow band member Eric Vanlerberghe is taking over vocal duties, leaving fans curious about the new sound and if there will ever be a band reunion.

A fan commented on Reddit: "Their backup vocalist handled most of the clean vocals with Eric doing a few as well. They still sounded really good and were one of the highlights of the weekend but you could tell something was a bit off."
The memorable band announced Brian's departure officially this week through a social media statement.
In the shocking social media announcement, the band expressed: "Today we share that we are mutually parting ways with Brian Burkheiser. This was a difficult decision, but we believe it is the right one, and we are all grateful for the 10 epic years we shared together. We wish Brian nothing but success and happiness in his future endeavors."
"Moving forward, Eric will continue to be the powerhouse frontman you've come to know and love. He'll be backed up live by Dylan, who you've seen in this role many times over the years at the shows we've performed without Brian," they elaborated further.
I Prevail reassured their audience that 'we will continue to deliver the high-energy shows that we've made a pillar of our band, and we will continue to perform all the bangers from our catalogue'.
