Country star Connie Francis, 87, rushed to intensive care amid serious health issues

Connie Francis was rushed to hospital on Wednesday, where she spent time undergoing tests in intensive care.

The iconic country singer, whose 1963 song Pretty Little Baby recently went viral on TikTok, revealed she had been experiencing "extreme pain," with doctors working to figure out the cause.

News of Connie's hospitalization was first shared by radio personality Cousin Brucie on Facebook. He posted, "BULLETIN BULLETIN BULLETIN Cousins - Sorry to report this to you. Connie Francis was admitted to the Hospital again."

He continued, "She is in intensive care. As soon as I receive more information, I will post it here. Let’s pray that Connie will be okay."

Shortly after Cousin Brucie's statement, Connie released her own on Facebook. "Hello Everyone — As many of you may now have learned through Cousin Brucie's Facebook page, I am back in hospital where I have been undergoing tests and checks to determine the cause(s) of the extreme pain I have been experiencing," she wrote.

Connie continued, "I had hoped to take part in Brucie's show for Independence Day, having had to cancel a previous slot a few weeks ago when receiving treatment on my hip. Sadly, I had to let him know that I again had to withdraw."

She then thanked fans for their support and promised to keep them updated.

In a follow-up post, the musician said, "I am pleased to advise that following a series of tests and examinations in Intensive Care, I have now been transferred to a private room. Thank you all for your kind thoughts, words and prayers. They mean so much! Love, Connie."

Fans shared their messages of support in the comments.

"Hope you feel better me and my mom are huge fans of yours," one person wrote, while another said, "Dear God, I beg you please place your healing hands on Connie and heal her completely. Sending love to you special lady. Love you."

A third fan commented, "Thank you God, hope soon you go home. Love you Connie Francis." Someone else said they were "praying for a speedy recovery."

"Very good news! Wishing you a smooth recovery from here on out," a fifth fan echoed.

Connie has been dealing with a lot of health struggles over the years, with doctors monitoring her orthopedic health issues.
