Ozzy Osbourne and his Black Sabbath bandmates are gearing up for a final performance in Birmingham, England.

Tomorrow (July 5th), the heavy metal legends will headline a one-day festival at Villa Park, the home of Aston Villa football club,  featuring many bands they’ve inspired, including Metallica, Pantera, Slayer, Gojira, and Anthrax.

There will also be performances from a host of other acts, including Alice In Chains and Lamb of God, as well as members of metal supergroups like Limp Bizkit, Van Halen, The Smashing Pumpkins, and Faith No More.

The one-off gig, called Back To The Beginning and dubbed “the greatest heavy metal show ever,” will see Ozzy play a set of his own music before taking the stage with his bandmates, Geezer Butler, Tony Iommi, and Bill Ward.

The show will mark the first time the original line-up of Black Sabbath has performed together in 20 years. Ahead of the concert, Daily Express US finds out all you need to know about it.

How Many Songs will the band perform?

Ozzy Osbourne confirmed in an interview with rock legend Sammy Hagar he’d be performing “little bits and pieces" at the gig, but did not specify which tracks they would be.

Hagar claims Osbourne hopes to perform five songs from his solo material, including “No More Tears.”

Hagar will also be performing at the gig and reportedly will be performing Osbourne’s hit “Flying High Again” as well.

No details have been made public about set times.

The huge number of guest musicians appearing at the concert are likely to do their own versions of Sabbath and Ozzy songs.

Former Ozzy Osbourne guitarist Jake E. Lee will be making an appearance, so different eras of his solo career are likely to be showcased.

How long are each act likely to take the stage for?

At least 13 full bands including Ozzy and Black Sabbath are expected to make up the line-up at Back to the Beginning, which kicks off at 12pm .

No details have been released about the length of the set list for the show, which is expected to last into the evening.

It is likely that set lists will be between 30 and 50 minutes long, with bigger bands such as Metallica and Guns N’ Roses likely to be performing for a longer time.

The all-day event will feature a rotating stage, with one half being used to set up the next act, and the other for those currently performing.

Using the stage will ensure changeover times are more efficient and give acts more time to perform.

Will there be any surprise appearances?

It is claimed there are bands playing at Back to the Beginning that have not yet been revealed.

Andy Coping, a festival promoter, said: “There’s a couple of acts that have confirmed but not been announced yet.”
