AGT judge Mel B will be ‘social butterfly’ of panel as other judges risk being ‘left out'

NBC’s America’s Got Talent is set to return, with a change to its judging panel.

Mel B will join Simon Cowell, Sophia Vergara, and Howie Mandel on the judges’ panel when Season 20 premieres. The change comes as something of a surprise for longtime viewers who are used to seeing supermodel Heidi Klum in the line up instead of the former Spice Girl, as she stepped away this year.

However an expert has predicted that the switch up could cause issues, and with one of the judges in particular likely to feel left out. Using astrology and body language analysis, an expert has forecast that Mel B’s sociable nature and strong connection to America's Got Talent judges Simon and Howie may lead Sophia to feel 'excluded from the group'.

Celebrity psychic, astrologer and body language expert Inbaal Honigman, on behalf of Genting Casino, explained: "The ruling planet of Gemini is Mercury, the planet of communication, which makes Geminis such chatterboxes. Gemini's dual personality means that they can find something in common with nearly anyone. Their calmer side can talk about baking and knitting, and their wilder side can share stories of their party lifestyle. For this reason, Mel B will be the social butterfly of the group."

They added: "Sofia is a Cancerian, which is one of the most sensitive signs. Cancerians feel very disappointed if they're left out. If Mel B's sociable nature ends up making Sofia feel like she's not included in the conversation, this would be upsetting for the actress, and this could cause her Cancerian heart to feel like she's not in the crowd."

Sophia could also end up being left out as Simon, Howie and Mel bond due to their similar star signs. Honingman continued: "Simon is a Libra, which is an air sign. AGT announced that Melanie “Mel B” Brown will return as a judge for the upcoming season with a post on Instagram. The official account posted: "Get ready for a Golden Buzzer summer. #AGT premieres Tuesday, May 27 on NBC and streaming next day on @peacock.

Mel B first joined the series in 2013 for Season 8 and remained on the panel through 2018. She has since appeared on the franchise’s spinoffs, America’s Got Talent: The Champions and Fantasy League.
