Netanyahu reveals full extent of US 'help' with Iran as Hesgeth sparks WW3 fears
Iran has fired a new wave of missile attacks on Israel, triggering air raid sirens across the country as emergency services reported at least eight killed
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has spoken out, revealing just how much support he is getting from Donald Trump in the ongoing conflict with Iran.
The spotlight is on Trump to see just how far he will support Israel, after it was revealed that the US President vetoed a plan to assassinate Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Netanyahu's remarks came during an interview with FOX News on Sunday's Special Report, the Israeli PM telling host Bret Baier that he and Trump had been in close contact prior to Israel's attack.

He said, "Look, we're fully coordinated, but understand that America, under President Trump, will make the decisions that are best for America."
He added: "And the - that's the way it is. He understands that I, as the Prime Minister of Israel, the one and only Jewish state, must make the decisions that are important for the survival of my country, and he will do what is best for America. That is a relationship of mutual respect and mutual confidence."
The fighting began when Israel attacked Iran amid simmering tensions over Tehran’s nuclear program.
The tit-for-tat attacks between Israel and Iran escalated over the weekend, raising fears of a wider, more dangerous regional war. Iran on Sunday said Israel struck oil refineries, killed the intelligence chief of the paramilitary Revolutionary Guard and hit population centers in intensive aerial attacks.
US Defence Secretary Pete Hesgeth made a grim warning about nuclear war while being grilled by lawmakers on Capitol Hill.
Hegseth said that "the president is has been earnestly and completely committed to a peace process, has given Iran every opportunity, those talks ongoing, but he also fully recognizes the threat that Iran with a nuclear weapon would would exist."
Sen. Tim Kaine, a Virginia Democrat and a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, is filing a resolution to require that Congress authorize a declaration of war or any specific use of military force against Iran. Congress passed a similar resolution in 2020 during Trump’s first term.
“It is not in our national security interest to get into a war with Iran unless that war is absolutely necessary to defend the United States. I am deeply concerned that the recent escalation of hostilities between Israel and Iran could quickly pull the United States into another endless conflict,” Kaine said.
The resolution requires that any hostilities with Iran must be explicitly authorized by a declaration of war or specific authorization for use of military force, but would not prevent the United States from defending itself from imminent attack.
