Defense Minister Israel Katz claimed that the Israeli army has dealt another blow to Iran. In a tweet, Katz claimed that several missiles had destroyed Iran's Internal Security Headquarters.

According to the minister, the headquarters was the "Iranian dictator's central repressive arm." He wrote, "The tornado continues to hit Tehran."

"Air Force jets have now destroyed the Iranian regime's Internal Security Headquarters - the Iranian dictator's central repressive arm," he added. "As we promised - we will continue to harm symbols of government and strike at the ayatollah regime everywhere." This happened hours after Iran's leaders made another chilling statement about what happens next.

Israel Launches Strikes Against Iran

The post comes after both Israel and Iran have been shooting missiles at each other for six days with no end in sight. The attack also comes as Iran issued a chilling statement saying that there was a surprise was in store for Israel.

"Tonight, a great surprise will occur, one that the world will remember for centuries," the country said in a chilling statement. The statement was unleashed on Tuesday evening.

Iran's alarming statement came as Israeli warplanes launched a fierce bombardment on Iran's capital early Wednesday at about 5 a.m. following President Donald Trump's demand for their "unconditional surrender."

Officials within the Iranian government have maintained a silence over the bombardment, which has been a favored tactic increasingly adopted even as Israeli strikes have escalated in frequency and intensity since commencing last Friday.

A particular airstrike on Wednesday morning seemed to be directed at Tehran’s Hakimiyeh neighborhood, which houses a Revolutionary Guard academy base. Previously, Israel had alerted of potential strikes targeting areas south of Mehrabad International Airport, encompassing residential zones, military bases, pharmaceutical entities, and industrial establishments.

They also announced the killing of Iranian General Ali Shadmani, whom they labeled as Tehran's highest-ranking surviving military official. Amid escalating tensions with the deployment of U.S. combat aircraft to the region, President Trump put forth a series of remarks concerning the strife; he ominously cautioned Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, asserting the U.S. was aware of his whereabouts but had no current intention to eliminate him, “at least not for now."

Trump's comments further escalated the situation and the question of whether or not the U.S. will get involved. The president also ordered that the people of Tehran evacuate amidst Israel's intensive air offensive targeted at crippling Iran’s military capabilities and halting its nuclear ambitions.

Israel maintains that its extensive assault is crucial to prevent Iran from advancing towards the construction of a nuclear weapon. The strikes have resulted in at least 224 fatalities in Iran.

In response, Iran has launched approximately 400 missiles and hundreds of drones at Israel, resulting in 24 deaths so far.
