Barstool Sports owner Dave Portnoy has denied being involved in a viral fight at a food establishment. In the fight, a man who looked strikingly similar to the social media personality was slapped in the face with a pizza slice.

The millionaire, famous for his involvement at Barstool and his regular sports takes, is also known for his "One Bite" pizza reviews, where he rates pizza places on a scale of one to 10. Restaurant workers have gotten prickly with Portnoy in the past, and a lookalike got into a heated argument in a pizza joint before being slapped in the face with a pizza slice in a shocking viral moment.

Social media speculation believed Portnoy to be the man in the clip. However, Portnoy has now denied that he was on the receiving end of the pizza man's wrath.

"Momma there goes that man again! The haters are so obsessed with me they make me go viral even when it's not even me. That's true power!," he wrote on X. "I've become a myth, a spook story that criminals tell their kids at night. "Rat on your pop, and Portnoy will get you!"

Portnoy's last pizza shop review dropped on June 26 when he visited Pizza Di Farfalla in New Lenox, Illinois. He gave the establishment a solid eight out of ten and gave the owner rave reviews.

"For Chicago, mid-8s. Like for Chicago style for me is a mid-8. This would be, bar none, one of the best pizzas in the city," Portnoy said. "The overall experience, outer space. I love this guy. I love the place.

"I love the story of the pizza guy, quitting his corporate job. A must hit. And this is definitely an 8 Chicago pizza. No doubt about it. So yeah, worth the trip. I assume it's already well known in these parts, but definitely worth all the way around.

"Buy a Carlton Fisk White Sox jersey and get some great pizza while you're at it and have great coffee while you're at it. You'll s--- yourself, but still worth it. There you go. That's our view."

The owner of the pizza joint was deeply impacted by his mom's passing and honored her with a touching tribute. "Passion, you know, from him. There's a story behind how he named his pizza. So pizza di carpala, which is a butterfly," Portnoy continued.

"So it's going to be a big one. Story is his mom, she passed away. And she always told him that she's going to come back as a butterfly. So he actually renamed his pizza when he opened up after her because she taught him how to cook and make pizza, you know. Great."
