Hollywood legend Clint Eastwood, who directed Juror No. 2 last year, shows no signs of slowing down despite rumors that it might be his "final film".

Contrary to these speculations, the star's Sully screenwriter exclusively told Daily Express that "he will never retire" and "he'll die on set".

In a recent interview, Eastwood confirmed that his next movie is already in pre-production. While details about the project remain under wraps, the actor-director is known for his quick turnarounds.

Speaking with Austrian newspaper Kurier, the 95-year-old assured fans that he was in good health and that they shouldn't worry about him "for a long time yet."

He stated: "There's no reason why a man can't get better with age. And I have much more experience today. Sure, there are directors who lose their touch at a certain age, but I'm not one of them."

Eastwood expressed his nostalgia for the golden era of Hollywood and criticized the industry's current trend of remakes and franchises.

He said, "I long for the good old days when screenwriters wrote movies like 'Casablanca' in small bungalows on the studio lot. When everyone had a new idea. My philosophy is: do something new or stay at home."

Reflecting on his career, Eastwood added: "As an actor, I was still under contract with a studio, was in the old system, and thus forced to learn something new every year," he said. "And that's why I'll work as long as I can still learn something, or until I'm truly senile."

Clint has been keeping away from the spotlight in recent months after the tragic death of his longtime partner, Christina Sandera, who died of a heart attack at age 61.

The Million Dollar Baby star's son Scott, 39, gave an update on his dad, saying he was 'doing good' adding that, 'he's a survivor, a trouper.'

Scott added that the Gran Torino actor is not one to express deep emotions or complain.

He continued in his interview with People: "He was born coming out of the Great Depression, and then he was young during World War II. He saw a lot of struggle."
