Meghan Markle's twerking video seen as sales booster for her As Ever brand
Meghan Markle shared a video of her twerking to celebrate their daughter's fourth birthday, and now an insider has claimed that the duchess is 'very pleased'
Despite criticism over Meghan Markle's twerking video released on her daughter's birthday, an insider claims the footage is a "huge hit" in the U.S.
A confidant of the Sussexes revealed to MailOnline: "Meghan is very pleased with the video. In the UK, everyone's reaction has been a bit prudish, but everywhere else, particularly in America and especially with young people, it has been a huge hit."
The video features Meghan dancing with Prince Harry in a California hospital while awaiting the birth of their child. This comes as Meghan prepares to launch a line of new products under her As Ever brand, having already teased photos on Instagram.

The insider also disclosed: "She and her team count it [the video] as a 'win', which can only be a boost for sales. Her new products are marketed at Americans and not at the UK market."
Support for Meghan's video has emerged from American audiences, who expressed their views on social media. As reported in the Daily Mail, one enthusiast commented: "Meghan doesn't care about the haters in Britain calling her vulgar. Americans thought the twerking video was hilarious and relatable.", reports the Express.
Another fan remarked: "I love this. It's an incredibly sweet, silly and intimate look into their relationship, something I could never imagine they'd share (a look inside the hospital room of a royal baby's birth! ) but I'm so happy they did."
Eric Schiffer, a reputation management expert, remarked: "Meghan wants to connect with Gen Z, which demands viral moments. She doesn't care about the UK because that's not where the money is. Brits have certain standards they expect of royalty. Americans don't care. To us it's a soap opera."
Meghan recently shared a video of their two-day Disneyland adventure to celebrate Lilibet's fourth birthday. The Sussex family had a blast on iconic rides like Space Mountain, Dumbo, and Cars Land, complete with a Little Mermaid-themed cake for the birthday girl.

The Instagram update included shots of Meghan, Harry, Lilibet, and Archie all donning Mickey Mouse ears and immersing themselves in the Disney experience. They took pleasure in several park highlights, including Tiana's Bayou Adventure, formerly Splash Mountain, since its 2024 revamp.
Their day also featured an encounter with Star Wars stormtroopers, and one charming photo captured Harry smiling broadly next to Lilibet on a ride. A snapshot showcasing a spread of corndogs and other classic theme park fare indicated the family indulged in traditional snacks during their visit.
Amidst this fun, Meghan is gearing up for a new release of products on her brand's website, with fans eagerly anticipating updates as she begins posting teaser images on the As Ever Instagram account.
