Bruce Springsteen and Patti Scialfa have reached a major milestone in their relationship.

The beloved couple took to social media to announce that they are celebrating 34 years of marriage. To mark the occasion, Patti posted a heartfelt tribute on Instagram - and fans couldn’t get enough.

Patti shared a throwback photo of the couple sharing a kiss in their early years. She wrote, "Our one year anniversary….Bruce surprised me with a beautiful party….."

In the caption, she added, "Today marks 34 years…even though we already had Evan and Jess was on the way….spent the evening with Bruce Sam and our granddaughter Lily."

Bruce Springsteen and Patti Scialfa tied the knot on June 8, 1991, during an intimate ceremony at their home in Los Angeles. Sparks flew between the pair in the 80s at The Stone Pony, a legendary New Jersey music venue where they both frequently performed.

They grew closer working together when Bruce asked Patti to join him on his Born in the U.S.A. tour as a backing vocalist with the E Street Band, a role she quickly embraced.

Following his 1988 divorce from actress Julianne Phillips, the star's long-standing friendship with Patti gradually turned romantic, eventually blossoming into a lasting partnership.

The couple now shares three children: Evan, 34, Jessica, 33, and Sam, 31.

During an October 2019 chat with Gayle King on CBS Mornings, Springsteen couldn’t help but gush over his wife, opening up about the powerful role she’s played in his life and career.

"We've been together for 30 years. That's a long [time]– you've shared a lot," he said. "You know, Patti's been at the center of my life for the entire second half of my life ... and an enormous amount of guidance and inspiration and you know, I can't overstate it. You know, it's I've been lucky."

However, the couple's lives were shattered in 2018 when Patti received a diagnosis of multiple myeloma, a rare type of blood cancer.

Despite the difficult diagnosis, Bruce remained hopeful and shared a positive update. "We caught it early, which was important," he said. "It's a tough disease. It's very fatiguing. She hadn't played in the band in a long time, and people I don't think knew why. 'Where's Patti?'"
