The latest season of Squid Game has landed with a bang, bringing a fresh and even more shocking twist.
The third season, consisting of six explosive episodes, dropped on Netflix on June 27 and left viewers reeling.

The season gets underway with Jun-hee, now pregnant, entering the brutal competition once more.
In a harrowing scene, her baby is unexpectedly born during the first round, a violent take on Hide and Seek, which pays homage to the notorious Marbles game arena.
Incredibly, Geum-ja delivers the baby with limited resources, while Hyun-ju provides protection from other players. However, it doesn't take long for disaster to strike.
Hyun-ju falls victim to a stabbing at the hands of none other than Myung-gi, the baby's father, who rapidly descends into a cycle of betrayal and violence. Geum-ja, overcome with remorse after killing her own child to safeguard Jun-hee, ultimately takes her life.
Jun-hee, hurt and unable to continue competing in the perilous Jump Rope game, gives her life, but not before imploring Gi-hun to rescue her newborn. In a shocking turn of events, the infant girl is assigned her deceased mother's identifier: Player 222.

Myung-gi, now driven by sheer avarice, betrays his own offspring, which leads to his demise. In Gi-hun's defining moment, he opts out of the corrupt competition in protest.
Clutching the baby, he addresses the world: "We are not horses. We are humans..." before making his final exit.
The little girl becomes the unexpected victor, securing an immense fortune of 45.6 billion won. The secretive Front Man takes custody of her initially; however, it's Jun-ho, portrayed by Wi Ha-jun as the tenacious cop, who ends up with the baby and her financial future in his hands, intending to shield her from the nightmarish reality of the games.
Concurrently, other storyline threads are tied up neatly. No-eul, known as the insurgent pink guard played by Park Gyu-young, lives on to reconnect with her daughter.
The enigmatic Front Man, played by Lee Byung-hun, and the circle of returning VIPs decree that the child will take her mother's place, sparking public fury.
"Why do the VIPs sound like bad YouTube drama actors?" one viewer quipped, amplifying complaints from the series' previous chapters.
As casualties mount, only three contestants remain: Gi-hun, Myung-gi, and the infant. The ultimate challenge, termed "Sky Squid Game," relies on mental tactics and sacrifice atop soaring structures.
Returning glimpses into the lives of former contenders' families, including Sae-byeok's younger sibling and Sang-woo's mourning mother, draw viewers back to the first season's poignant depths. However, the ultimate blow for many fans came with the stark realization that almost all major characters from the series have met their demise.
"Squid Game dropped a new season?!?" a stunned viewer expressed. "And a baby wins?? I need therapy," another viewer chimed in.
