Country music star Dolly Parton might be known best for her iconic tracks and some of the country anthems that fans know and love.

However she's also carved out an acting career before, including her role in 1980 movie '9 to 5'. Starring alongside Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin, the comedy movie was a huge success taking in $103.9 million. The film sparked a TV series, which fan for five seasons and it still remains an iconic movie.

She added: "We have no plans to be in that. But I do wish her the best, because the script I read, I thought, was really good… But I think a lot of it is that, you know, we’re all older now. We’re not gonna look that good on the big screen...All of us up there with all those beautiful, young, fresh people ... so I don’t know."

However there is no love lost between Dolly and Jennifer, and in fact Dolly made it clear she wishes the Friends actress well with the new project. She told the outlet: "I love Jennifer. I think it’ll be a wonderful thing."

She also revealed she's given the actress the rights to her iconic soundtrack. She said: "I told her, I said, you’re more than welcome to use my song ‘9 to 5,’ and if you need some additional songs, or if you need the ‘9 to 5’ song rewritten or reworked, you know, to do that."

She added: "I really would love to see the show, and I’d love to be able to write some music, be involved in that way with it."

Another reason for turning down the movie might be due to Dolly's current TV and film commitments, which include the upcoming remake of Buffy The Vampire Slayer. Her production company, Sandollar Productions, is behind the upcoming reboot which fans have been begging for.
