Fans have rallied around Dancing With the Stars pro and reigning champ Jenna Johnson after she received a hateful message online from a troll about her two-year-old son, Rome.

Johnson, who admitted after the 2024 finale that she was left “underwhelmed” over comments following her win with Joey Graziadei, which was historic for the show, was targeted online recently by a critic.

After sharing images online of her son with fellow pro Valentin Chmerkovskiy, the pro dancer, 31, slammed the troll, who criticized a choice she made as a parent.

While Johnson stood her ground by calling out the vile comment she received, she also received immense support from fans.

Many took to social media to blast the troll as well.

The drama started after Johnson shared images to her Instagram story, which included one of her holding her son against her chest, while he drank from a bottle.

She later took to her account again to slam a person who DM’d her about the photo, writing, “Way too old for this fat r— to have a bottle.”

“Sooo yesterday I posted a pic of me and my son, who I hadn’t seen in 4 days and lots of people felt strongly about him drinking from a bottle,” she wrote.

She pointed out that it was ‘totally fine’ when she received positive advice from other moms and that she was always “open to feedback” to some extent, but the new comment crossed the line.

“But this woman (who’s [sic] profile is of her holding her own baby) decided to DM me this,” she continued, before asking, ‘What world are we living in?? I understand that I put my life out there publicly, which I honestly want to STOP doing when extremely rude and harmful messages toward my baby are sent to me.”

“But are we OK as a society? Also, you yourself are a MOM!!!! Would you want me, a total stranger, to DM you this about your child? Because he’s drinking from a bottle??? Like WHAT ON EARTH IS HAPPENING,” she added.

Jenna then added she loves her social community, but “enough is enough” with the sad trolls/bullies, and urge those who felt that way to “unfollow” her and “respectfully get a life.”

The post later surfaced on Reddit, where fans expressed their fury over the troll, siding with Jenna.

“This is awful…good on Jenna for calling her out! No one should be saying the R word about anyone but calling a baby a fat R is truly dispensable behavior. If you zoom in you can see this lady has a baby, if it’s not a catfish that’s just scary to think how she is raising the child,” one person wrote on the platform.

“My jaw dropped when I saw that bc what in the world possesses someone to say something like that,” another said. Like truly what the hell made you type that out and say ‘yup that’ll show ‘em.’”

“Who says that about a child???? My god. How evil can someone be,” a third shared.

“OH my god??? If I feel offended I can’t even imagine how this made Jenna feel. What an absolute garbage human being,” a fourth added.

In her newer post, she admitted that the supportive comments made her cry, and that her “heart really hurt yesterday at how vile and mean some people can be.”
