Chilling final text sent by woman before her partner murdered her
Victoria 'Vicki' Thomas, 44, was found dead in her bathrobe and underwear by her niece, after her partner Alcwyn Thomas strangled her to death in a 'sudden and spontaneous loss of temper'
Victoria 'Vicki' Thomas was tragically found on her son's bedroom floor at their home in Wales, dressed only in her bathrobe and underwear, by her niece.
Her partner, Alcwyn Thomas, had left her lifeless body in the cold while under the influence of alcohol and cocaine. Family members who had spent time with the couple at a pub just hours before recounted his strange behavior, and Vicki sent an unsettling message prior to her death.
Vicki and Thomas, who shared the same last name but were not married, had been together for over four years. On August 19, 2024, they made a trip to a local pub at 2.30pm before heading to Club 3000 bingo hall before 5pm to mingle with Thomas' family.

Thomas was reported to have heavily indulged in alcohol that evening, used cocaine, and was "argumentative and moody". After a comment from his sister Laura Thomas set him off, he lost his temper and began shouting, prompting his brother-in-law William Woodgates to urge him to calm down, as reported by WalesOnline.
Vicki was reportedly composed but tired of Thomas' antics and refused to buy any more drinks for him. Between 8.15pm and 8.30pm, William noticed a change in Thomas' demeanor, noting that he kept asking him to repeat himself and seemed to be trying to "goad him" or "wind him up," reports the Mirror.
William also noted that Thomas chuckled to himself, suggesting that he might have taken cocaine during a restroom visit.
Ffion Woodgates, niece to Thomas, recounted her unease about that day: "Alcwyn was not interacting with us much and was not himself. I spoke to him twice and he was looking right through me and argumentative. I knew there was something wrong with him as he usually makes jokes but on this occasion he was arguing."
The tension spiked later that evening with Vicki and Thomas having a fierce argument, attempting to drag William into their conflict. Feeling the strain, William advised Laura that it might be best for them to leave.
Subsequent to the clash, Thomas' sister received a candid text from Vicki about Alcwyn's behavior: "Alc's a w***er tbh."

Asked about Thomas's state, Vicki unequivocally stated, "No, coke."
Exiting Club 3000 at 9:10 pm after Thomas drank 11 pints of lager and Vicki downed six and a half, a CCTV outside the club sees them in an altercation, with Vicki making emphatic gestures towards Thomas, who appeared to fiddle with a white packet and prod at his nose and lips.
At their residence, Vicki secluded herself into her son’s old room, wearing just underwear and a robe. By 9:30 pm, neighbors walking by overhead a scream from the direction of their house.
The evening became even more distressing when, at 11:01 pm, Laura received a disconcerting message from Vicki's phone: "Sorry I done something so bad thanks tell (name of defendant's daughter) I'm sorry bye."
Laura had a hunch that her brother might be the source of the ominous text message. Sara, too, received a spine-chilling text at 11:02 pm from Vicki's phone, which read: "I done something really bad tell (name of defendant's daughter) I'm sorry."
Sara dialed Vicki thinking she'd check if all was well, and on her second call, Thomas chillingly confessed through the receiver, "Victoria is dead and I have killed her."
Not believing a word and suspecting a macabre joke, Sara snapped back with a mix of scorn and disbelief, "So funny, get f*****."
In a chilling emergency call, Ffion reported the dire situation: "My uncle has text a few family members and said he's done something bad to his girlfriend and he's sorry. I went to check on her and she's not breathing."
Distraught, Ffion confessed her turmoil: "I can't get my uncle arrested."
Later that evening, after leaving Club 3000 about 11:30 pm, Ffion was asked by Laura to check up on the couple. Entering their residence at around twelve thirty, she found a horrifying scene with Thomas feigning sleep and Vicki lying still.
Ffion recounts the horror of finding her friend motionless: "At the top of the staircase I noticed a pair of legs in the doorway. I approached the door and saw her lying on the floor flat on her back on the threshold of the door."
Desperately trying to wake Vicki, Ffion shares, "I used my thumb and index finger, one on each cheek with her chin resting on my fingers and turned her head to face me. I shook her and slapped her cheek on the right side of her face in an effort to gain a response but there was none. I saw her lips were blue. I did not see any injuries on her body and I did not start CPR as I thought she was dead."
Tragedy struck that night as Vicki was pronounced dead at 12:47 am, despite efforts by paramedics to save her. Thomas was taken into custody, and after overcoming an alleged overdose, he faced the consequences of his actions.
An autopsy showed Vicki had been strangled with considerable force exerted on her neck.
Thomas conceded to strangling Vicki but contended it was an accidental outcome of a sexual encounter gone wrong, purportedly initiated by Vicki. In a letter to his sister, Thomas wrote: "She said grab me by the throat, so I did. Nothing we haven't done thousands of times before... I opened my eyes and looked at her and she was blue and s*** everywhere. I laid her on the floor, put a quilt over her and phoned you and Sara. I panicked, took a load of tablets and turned on the gas. can't believe I killed her, I can't stop crying and shaking. I am totally broken and don't want to be here."
At Cardiff Crown Court on Thursday, following a trial, Thomas was convicted of murder and sentenced to life imprisonment, with a minimum term of 20 years.
