Word puzzles are a fantastic way to get your brain working, and even enrich your vocabulary. NYT Connections is a particularly good daily puzzle game that can help you with both of these things.

In this game, you need to discover the hidden connections between words and put them into groups of four. Connections was launched by the NYT for PC on June 12, 2023, during its beta testing phase.

It is now NYT’s second-most-played game after Wordle, so it’s definitely worth trying it out if you enjoy puzzles and word games.

For those playing today's game, we have some useful hints for you in case you get a bit stuck, and if that’s not enough, we can give you the answers at the end.

How do you play NYT Connections?

The New York Times’ Connections uses a color-coding system, with yellow being the easiest to solve, followed by green, blue, and purple. The aim is to identify four related words and figure out which category they fall into.

If you can find the category, grouping the words should become much easier.

One thing to keep in mind is that the game resets every night at midnight, which gives you another chance to solve the puzzle with a new set of words and categories.

If you can guess correctly, those words will be removed from the game board and you can continue - but if your guess is wrong, it's counted as an error, and you're only allowed up to four errors.
