A breathtaking cloud formation bearing an uncanny resemblance to Jesus Christ has left a congregation in awe, with many hailing the "beautiful" spectacle as a divine sign.

The astonishing footage, captured on June 19 in Naga City, Philippines, following a mass, has been making waves on Instagram. Coincidentally, the sighting occurred on National Youth Day, a Filipino holiday promoting community and national service, and also aligned with the feast of Corpus Christi.

AccuWeather's Instagram post highlighting the phenomenon has garnered significant attention, with the caption reading: "People in the Philippines were stunned when a cloud resembling Jesus appeared following a mass."

The public's reaction to the "unbelievable" sighting has been overwhelming, with many interpreting it as a reassuring sign of a higher power's presence. The Instagram post has amassed over 62,000 likes, with numerous comments expressing admiration for the Jesus-like cloud formation.

One commenter exclaimed: "That's fascinating, God loves Philippines." Another observant viewer noted: "Yesterday was the feast of Corpus Christi. So beautiful."

However, not everyone was convinced that the cloud resembled Jesus, with one viewer suggesting it looked more like "Mother Mary" This sparked a reply in agreement, saying: "That's what I thought at first too."

A third commenter reflected: "There are signs everywhere!" Some were simply awestruck by the sight of the cloud formation, describing it as "absolutely remarkable", with one individual expressing: "How beautiful."

Yet not all observers were swayed by the celestial apparition—some suggested that the figure resembled Jesus Christ because it delivered a sense of "comfort".

One skeptic remarked: "Our brains are wired to recognize patterns and shapes in our environment so that our nervous systems can evaluate our surroundings and act accordingly. But if this comforts people, then I'm glad."

Another person concurred, observing: "Same phenomenon when seeing faces in power sockets and flower pedals, elephants in clouds, or 'Jesus' face in pancakes."

This event unfolded as archaeologists recently uncovered an ancient structure in Jerusalem that precisely corresponds with biblical accounts of Jesus' tomb.

The Daily Express had earlier covered this archaeological breakthrough, noting that researchers at the site of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem had disclosed the location matching the vivid narrative from the Gospel of John.
