Stephen A. Smith had his daughter appear live on his podcast to answer questions on Friday - but the stunt backfired spectacularly for the ESPN man.

Smith can't seem to escape the limelight at the moment. The outspoken pundit recently signed a new $100 million contract with ESPN, before signing with SiriusXM to host two new radio shows - one of which is away from sports.

This week, after being caught playing solitaire on his phone while he was meant to be covering the NBA Finals for ESPN, Smith hit back at critics over an interview with Candace Owens, before ending the week with his daughter appearing on his podcast.

The appearance didn't go too well for Smith, however, with his daughter using the time to plead with him to get a hair transplant. Answering questions from the comment section, Samantha Smith couldn't resist poking fun at her father.

“Okay, y’all, wait can I?” said Samantha as she put her fingers above Smith's eyebrows. “One, two, three, four… God dang! I ran out of fingers. Chat, it’s not his fault.

"If you look at pictures of him when he was younger, it wasn’t like this. Dad, give advice for an admin that is going bald at a hilariously fast rate.”

Smith then joked with his daughter about his looks, bringing up an old photo of himself, saying: "When are you going to admit that your dad is pretty fly?

“I mean, when you look at me. Your dad looked pretty good. If I went up to your school and some of your teachers saw me, they would feel a certain way about me. But I ain’t gonna go there.”

But Samantha wasn't convinced, saying it was time for her father to go under the knife.

“Guys, there is this surgery that you can get, like this plastic surgery, where you can move your hairline down,” she said.

"And my theory is that if my dad gets paid for making these podcasts, eventually he can save up the money to be able to afford a surgery like that. And then you guys will all stop bullying him. But he can’t help it. He’s still beautiful. Tell him he is beautiful in the comments.”
