Bryson DeChambeau's kind words for Donald Trump after White House meeting
Bryson DeChambeau met with longtime friend Donald Trump at the White House last weekend, with the LIV Golf star likening the President to Tiger Woods
After spending time at the White House and hitting the links at Trump National Golf Club in D. C., golf standout Bryson DeChambeau made a striking comparison between former President Donald Trump and Tiger Woods, one of golf's legends.
Trump and DeChambeau have a good relationship, and the President has played a huge role in shaping the future of golf by holding a number of talks with LIV Golf funders - the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia. Trump, known for how frequently he's seen on the course, has also met with the likes of Woods and Rory McIlroy.
Known for their camaraderie, DeChambeau praised his Presidential friend, saying: "I think in my era, who I played with, Tiger is the ultimate competitor. [Woods is] somebody that is rarely unfazed. I played with him in the 2017, 2018, and 2019 time frame. You could tell there was a difference, a presence difference. Much like yourself, Mr President. You walk into an area, and it is just different. He has had that aura about him."

Trump reciprocated the admiration with high praise for DeChambeau, calling him the best golfer alongside Scottie Scheffler.
"He is a great guy, a great golfer. Probably the No. 1 now, him and Scottie [Scheffler] are rated at the top," the former President stated about DeChambeau.
"We play golf a lot together. It is not a very pleasant experience for me. I always consider myself a reasonably long hitter, and then I play with him. I go home and my wife says, 'Are you as long as Bryson?' I said, 'Yeah, I am pretty close'. It is not close."
The camaraderie between Trump and DeChambeau has been strengthening over time, especially in this past year. In a trendsetting move last July, the former President graced DeChambeau's YouTube series "Break 50," which has since racked up 15 million views.
During his re-election triumph speech in Florida last November, Trump notably invited DeChambeau to join him on stage, highlighting their growing bond.
Trump has continued to leave his mark on the golfing world after being enlisted by the PGA Tour to facilitate reconciliation efforts with Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund.

A staunch advocate for the fusion of both golf circuits, Trump stated in April: "Ultimately, hopefully, the two tours are going to merge. That'll be good. I'm involved in that too.
"But hopefully we're going to get the two tours to merge. You have the PGA Tour and the LIV Tour. And I think having them merge would be a great thing."
