Blake Lively rallies together activists to call out Justin Baldoni for MeToo abandonment

Blake Lively has rallied together a group of activists to come to her defense against Justin Baldoni.

The Gossip Girl star is currently in the middle of a $400 million lawsuit with her It Ends With Us co-star and it has cost her much more than money as many have spoken out against her to support the director. The latest person to come forward was Justin’s body double, who described the actress as being “closed off.”

During this time, she has gathered her own group of defenders, including a few high-profile individuals like her husband Ryan Reynolds and best friend Taylor Swift. Now, Blake seems to be focused on quantity as she has brought about 20 activists into the legal battle.

A spokesperson for the actress told US Weekly on Thursday: “19 leading survivors and organizations devoted to women's rights, children's rights and domestic violence have now signed onto four separate amicus briefs.”

“All are united in opposing Justin Baldoni's attempt to dismantle a law designed to protect women who speak up — simply to protect himself.”

The group has been brought in to aid Blake’s legal team in their attempt to point out Justin’s actions are now opposing his previous feminist character that was heavily present on his The Man Enough Podcast, where he engaged in conversations that explore “how the messages of masculinity show up in relationships, body image, privilege, fatherhood, sex, success, mental health and so much more,” according to its’ website.

“Rather than defend his case on the facts, Baldoni is now contradicting years of his own public persona,” the representative continued. “Abandoning the message of his #MeToo YouTube's, podcasts, TED Talks, and interviews, where he once upon a time urged men 'to listen to the women in your life … to hold their anguish and actually believe them, even if what they're saying is against you.”

Concluding, they added: “These women and organizations are sounding the alarm about his DARVO tactics, and the chilling effect they could have well beyond this case.”

Due to events that allegedly transpired while working on the drama film It Ends With Us, the actress accused Justin of sexual harassment, aiding and abetting harassment, and causing intentional infliction of emotional distress in a lawsuit that was filed in December of 2024.

The actor has since denied the claims and filed a $400 million lawsuit against her and her husband for defamation.

Both parties are set to go to trial on March 9, 2026.
