If the show didn’t have Colter Shaw, it wouldn’t exist. Fans won’t have to worry about whether or not Hartley’s character will return. In addition, following the bombshells released in the season two finale, he is going to need a lot of questions answered about his past.

Fiona Rene as Reenie Greene

Reenie, Colter’s lawyer, legal consultant and friend, will be back and will see her character’s role grow.

“I think the main character we want to build out is Reenie,” showrunnerElwood Reid told Screen Rant. “What does her world look like, and how do we build out that world a little bit more and include Randy or whoever else in that world?”

Randy is expected to be back, especially as his role becomes more intertwined with Reenie’s.

Abby McEnany as Velma Bruin

As a crucial member of Colter’s team, serving as his handler who helps him find cases, she will most definitely be back in the new season. However, with bigger stories around Colter and Reenie taking the main focus, she may have a more backseat vibe.

Wendy Crewson

Now that Colter has learned that his mother played a bigger role in his father’s death, he will have some major questions for her, meaning Mary will be a much more present character.

“I think Colter is going to get an answer; he’s going to get some lies. I mean, look, it’s families. Families are f—ing messy. Family will lie to your face,” Reid told The Hollywood Reporter.

Several other characters are also expected to return, though the extent of their roles is not immediately clear.
