Honey Boo Boo makes harsh critique of Julie Chrisley’s prison makeover after Trump pardon
Honey Boo Boo shared her thoughts on Julie Chrisley's post-prison look after she was pardoned by President Donald Trump.
Honey Boo Boo didn’t hold back with her thoughts about Julie Chrisley’s look after she was released from prison following a pardon by President Donald Trump.
Julie and her husband, Todd, were officially released from prison this week after serving two years of seven and 12-year sentences, after they were convicted in 2022 for defrauding banks out of $30 million. Their daughter, Savannah Chrisley, has been vocal since they went to prison about how it would affect the family, and has tried to get the pair pardoned.
Trump officially pardoned the former reality stars of their crimes this week, allowing them to return home. Todd even snarled at reporters in a press conference afterward. Others swiftly criticized the president’s move, feeling it was another way he was "profiting" from his powerful position.

However, just hours after her release, Julie made headlines for a dramatic new look she was sporting as she left a butcher shop in Nashville, having seemingly traded her signature blonde look for a natural brown color with long grey roots.
Now, fellow reality star Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson, 19, is speaking out.
In an interview with Page Six, the former TLC star reacted to Chrisley’s look, indicating that she didn’t look great upon leaving prison, but admitted that it was to be expected that she wouldn’t look as polished as she normally did.
“I saw Julie…she looks…I mean, she’s been in jail for two years. What did you guys expect?” she quipped, before adding that she likely wasn’t receiving spa services inside the jail and didn’t think she would want a “jailhouse dye job” herself if she was in Chrisley’s shows.
She also admitted that while it was definitely a different look for the reality star, it wasn’t one that she thought was terrible either.
“I don’t think she looks bad, I just think she looks older,” she said.

The photo of Julie came after her daughter, Savannah, also shared her first official reunion with her father on social media, posting a clip of them walking together and him wearing a Nordstrom bag over his head.
He later appeared at a press conference with his daughter (stating his wife remained at home to spend time with the family), where he said he had “no shame” about his conviction and indicated the family would return to reality TV and expose injustices from their case.
“You’re placed in a position as a defendant to either bow down and kiss the a– of the Department of Justice and accept responsibility for things you did not do in order to avoid a harsher sentence,” he said. “The corruption that went on in our case is going to continue to unfold.”
“I will continue to expose the injustices that go on there and throughout the Bureau of Prisons,” he added.
