Person shot outside CIA Headquarters during early morning security incident
A person has been shot by security guards outside the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) headquarters, according to reports.
The CIA's McLean, Virginia headquarters was rocked early Thursday morning by a shooting incident that left one person wounded and forced the closure of the agency's front gate.
Early reports indicate that the shooting is "non-fatal."
During this "security incident," as described by an insider to NBC News' Andrea Mitchell, shots were fired by guards at a person attempting to gain unauthorized access to CIA grounds.

An inquiry led by the CIA is in full swing following the confrontation.
Local Fairfax County authorities rushed to the scene on Dolley Madison Boulevard around 4 a.m. to back up CIA security forces in managing road closures, shared by county law enforcement.
Motorists are being directed to find other travel routes.
