Coco Gauff cordially greeted Ben Shelton's girlfriend Trinity Rodman during a practice at the 2025 Mutua Madrid Open as the American pushes in the semifinals.
No. 4 seed Coco Gauff is rolling at the 2025 Mutua Madrid Open, having cruised into a semifinal matchup against world No. 2 Iga Swiatek after a dominant 7-5, 6-1 win over No. 7 Mirra Andreeva. She's on pace to bring home a massive prize if she can win the tournament.
Along the way, she finally met the girlfriend of men's tennis star Ben Shelton — a player whose career she most certainly mirrors — after dating rumors between the two.
Shelton is now publicly dating Trinity Rodman, the daughter of NBA Champion Dennis Rodman and a gold medalist with the US women's national soccer team.

Gauff and Rodman briefly shook hands during a Madrid Open practice session. Then, it was back to practice. Shelton is already out of the tournament, having lost in the third round to Czech player Jakub Mensik.
Shelton and Gauff went for ice cream during the 2025 Australian Open, and the two were spotted completing an escape room together earlier this year.
The pair, who played doubles together at the 2024 US Open, are both reported to be happy in their public relationships. Gauff spoke with Vogue in 2024 about her anonymous partner.
“He’s a very nice guy," the 21-year-old former US Open winner admitted. "He’s in school now. He’s about to apply for music school. He wants to be an actor, and he plays the guitar. He’s not from Delray. He’s actually from Atlanta."
"And actually, um, I will say this: People on Twitter found him two or three days ago. I won’t respond and confirm if it’s him or not, but they caught me in the comments, so they know....Some people thought it was someone in tennis and that couldn’t be further from the truth.”

The pair has also been extremely effusive of each other in the past. "She's charismatic. Such a great athlete. Has so many qualities out there that resemble a male player," Shelton told the media about Gauff during the 2024 US Open.
"You can see something from her that's special and different," he added. "She plays with a lot of passion. You can tell she cares out there....She's into it every time she's out on court. I think that's something people love."
