Music icon Neil Young has once again blasted Donald Trump, following the president’s online attacks on fellow artist Bruce Springsteen and other musicians this week.
“Bruce and thousands of musicians think you are ruining America. You worry about that instead of the dyin’ kids in Gaza,” he wrote on the Neil Young Archives.
“That’s your problem. I am not scared of you. Neither are the rest of us. You shut down FEMA when we needed it most. That’s your problem Trump. STOP THINKING ABOUT WHAT ROCKERS ARE SAYING. Think about saving America from the mess you made.”

Trump took aim at Springsteen last week after the New Jersey rocker repeatedly criticized the Trump Administration during a concert in the UK.
“The America I’ve written about, and has been a beacon of hope and liberty for 250 years, is currently in the hands of a corrupt, incompetent, and treasonous administration,” Springsteen said.

Trump responded on May 16th with a social media post in which he appeared to vaguely threaten Springsteen, warning him to “KEEP HIS MOUTH SHUT until he gets back into the Country, that’s just ‘standard fare.’ Then we’ll all see how it goes for him!”
That same day, Trump took credit for Taylor Swift’s apparent downfall. “Taylor Swift is right. So is Bruce. You know how I feel,” Young added in his post, addressing Trump. “You are more worried about yourself than AMERICA. Wake up Trump!! Remember what the White House is? 86/47??? That’s what you think about? You are forgetting your real job. You work for us.
"Wake up Republicans! This guy is out of control. We need a real president!”
On Monday, May 19th, Trump called for an investigation into Springsteen and other musicians who supported Kamala Harris.
Young has a history of speaking out against Trump. In April, he expressed concern that his criticisms could get him “barred” from re-entering the US after completing the UK/European leg of his tour.

“If I talk about Donald J. Trump, I may be one of those returning to America who is barred or put in jail to sleep on a cement floor with an aluminum blanket,” he wrote on the Neil Young Archives.
“That is happening all the time now. Countries have new advice for those returning to America… If I come back from Europe and am barred, can’t play my USA tour, all of the folks who bought tickets will not be able to come to a concert by me.”
He continued: “If you say anything bad about Trump or his administration, you may be barred from re-entering USA if you are Canadian. If you are a dual citizen like me, who knows? We’ll all find that out together.”
Young became a US citizen during Trump’s first term, and shortly afterward, called the president “a disgrace to my country.”
In his note, Young pondered the ramifications of those actions. “If the fact that I think Donald Trump is the worst president in the history of our country could stop me from coming back, what does that say for freedom?” he wrote.
“It seems to me that if you voted for Kamala Harris over Trump, that makes it possible for you to go to jail or be detained, punished in some ways for not showing allegiance to what?
"How spineless is that? Trump is not able to stand up to anyone who does not agree with his ideas?”
In June, Young and his new band, the Chrome Hearts, will head to Europe and the UK to kick off their “Love Earth World Tour.”
Assuming he’s able to re-enter the US, the North American run is slated to begin in August.
