Led Zeppelin's Robert Plant breaks silence on Donald Trump's row with Bruce Springsteen
Led Zeppelin frontman Robert Plant has waded into the row between Bruce Springsteen and Donald Trump, as he urged people to listen to The E-Street Band icon
Robert Plant has thrown his weight behind Bruce Springsteen following The Boss's recent remarks about President Donald Trump.
While addressing the crowd at a Saving Grace concert in Tampere-talo, Tampere, Finland, the Led Zeppelin legend voiced his support for Springsteen.
He remarked: "Right now in England, which is where we come from – not quite the land of the ice and snow – Bruce Springsteen is touring right now in the UK.

The band then went on to perform a rendition of Led Zeppelin's song Friends. This show of solidarity comes on the heels of Springsteen's anti-Trump declaration during the E-Street Band's Land of Hope and Dreams tour kickoff at Manchester's Co-op Live arena, where he criticized the president as leading a "currently in the hands of a corrupt, incompetent, and treasonous administration."
President Trump swiftly retorted on Truth Social, disparaging Springsteen as "highly overrated" and calling him a "dried out prune of a rocker" and "a pushy, obnoxious JERK."
Trump expressed his disdain by saying: "I see that Highly Overrated Bruce Springsteen goes to a Foreign Country to speak badly about the President of the United States.
"Never liked him, never liked his music, or his Radical Left Politics and, importantly, he's not a talented guy - Just a pushy, obnoxious JERK, who fervently supported Crooked Joe Biden."
The artist was labeled 'dumb as a rock' by the president, only for Springsteen to confirm the executive's judgment during another concert.
Reacting to the president's remarks, Springsteen expressed, "In my home, they're persecuting people for their right to free speech and voicing their dissent."
He pinpointed the harsh reality, adding, "That's happening now. In America, the richest men are taking satisfaction in abandoning the world's poorest children to sickness and death."

Springsteen didn't stop there, elucidating, "That's happening now. In my country, they're taking sadistic pleasure in the pain they inflict on loyal American workers."
In a show of solidarity soon after his candid remarks, the American Federation of Musicians publicly supported Springsteen, aligning themselves with him just as they did with Taylor Swift.
The labor organization addressed the situation, stating, "The American Federation of Musicians of the United States and Canada will not remain silent as two of our members − Bruce Springsteen and Taylor Swift − are singled out and personally attacked by the President of the United States."
They lauded both artists and defended their freedoms, asserting, "Bruce Springsteen and Taylor Swift are not just brilliant musicians, they are role models and inspirations to millions of people in the United States and across the world.
"Musicians have the right to freedom of expression, and we stand in solidarity with all our members."
