Inside Margot Robbie's beautiful $4.9M rain forest retreat as it gets put on market

After welcoming her first child with her husband Tom Ackerley,  life is looking a little different for Margot Robbie, 34, as she has now well and truly laid down roots in Los Angeles.

The decision to reside in sunny LA was likely made so she and Tom, 34, could continue to run their incredibly successful production company, LuckyChap Entertainment, all while getting used to life as parents.

Now, her Gold Coast getaway has hit the market for an eyewatering $4.9 million, after owners Chris and Chloe Lang opted to sell the stunning estate.

The breathtaking abode is located in the Tallebudgera Valley rainforest, in the City of Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia, and has become a favourite holiday spot of the Barbie star in recent years.

Surrounded by almost three sprawling hectares and nestled within national parkland, the stunning home has a bevy of fruit and nut trees on its doorstep, as well as vegetable gardens and lush greenery.

Agent Ed Cherry spoke to RealEstate.com about the property, gushed: "This is a very special place and it's been Margot's retreat. She stays in the guest accommodation when she is here."

"It feels like a slice of the Byron Hinterland paradise but in the middle of the Gold Coast, where you have privacy but also proximity," he added.

"And the property itself is like an island with 500m of creek frontage, so you cross a concrete bridge over the water when you enter," Ed explained.

The impressive home boasts three bedrooms, three bathrooms, French doors, and a butler's pantry, which casually adds to its lavish aesthetic.

The guest accommodation was originally converted from a shed and features a freestanding bath and a bar. Other amenities include a pool, a pizza oven, a hot tub, and an infrared sauna.

Margot Robbie and her husband, Tom, welcomed their first child, a baby boy, on October 17, 2024. The new parents have not made their baby's name public.

The couple, who married in 2016, returned to Australia with their new baby over Easter to spend some quality time with family.

Margot grew up not far from her stunning home on the Gold Coast and frequently reminisces about her sweet memories of playing outdoors as a child.

"All my fondest memories are outdoors," she shared in a Vogue Australia interview conducted by her mother.

"The first thing that comes to mind is playing outside at Julia's house, in the backyard, making cubbies, going out to the farm, going to the rockpools."
