Costco shoppers were recently left dismayed when the company abruptly halted one of its most coveted travel perks without warning.

The giant wholesaler, which commands a loyal following of approximately 137 million members yearly, has discontinued offering travel discounts to a notably favored destination. Costco is renowned for providing its members with an assortment of deals that include price reductions on excursions ranging from cruises to guided tours, not to mention accommodations at hotspots such as Oahu, Cancun, the Dominican Republic, Orlando, San Diego, Las Vegas, and others.

However, consternation arose earlier this month when a shopper vented on the 'Disney Planning' subreddit by posting a screenshot from the Costco website highlighting that reservations to Disneyland Resorts in Anaheim, California, will no longer be available through the retailer.

The statement on the website announced: "Costco Travel is not accepting new reservations to the Disneyland Resort. Guests with existing packages through 2025 can still modify their reservations by calling (877) 849-2730."

Despite the change affecting Disneyland in California, customers can breathe a sigh of relief knowing that Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida, remains part of Costco's discount program. Moreover, ticket discounts for both theme parks are still accessible to Costco members, reports the Irish Star.

The company has yet to provide an explanation regarding the cessation of the Disneyland Resort discount or indicate if it may be reintroduced in the future.

A disgruntled patron expressed their discontent on Reddit, lamenting, "This is disappointing, I also was pricing a trip earlier in the week! Gonna miss that gift card."

The once-popular Disneyland Resort packages sold through Costco, which included perks like pins and gift cards, sparked nostalgic disappointment among fans after being discontinued.

One enthusiast lamented the change saying, "Oh wtf I loved using Costco for Disneyland vacation packages. The perks for staying on property were sooooo good. This is lame."

In light of these changes and economic uncertainty, Costco has confirmed that its cherished $1.50 hot dog combo will maintain its price despite inflation pressures.

Additionally, the bulk retailer plans to expand the accessibility of its discounted fuel by extending the operating hours at its gas stations.
