Jeopardy and Price is Right hosts' major connection as they share birthday
Fans were surprised as they discovered Jeopardy and Price Is Right hosts share unexpected birthday connection.
Game show fans were taken off guard this week after realizing that two of television’s most beloved hosts share more than just their iconic roles.
Jeopardy’s Ken Jennings and The Price Is Right’s Drew Carey both celebrated their birthdays on May 23, which sparked a wave of reaction online.
The Price Is Right marked the day with a birthday post for their longtime host. “Happy birthday to the host with the most and one of the best in the business, [Drew],” the show’s official Instagram account shared, alongside a photo of Drew flashing a smile and holding a plate.

Drew Carey turned 66 on Thursday, while Ken Jennings celebrated his milestone 50th birthday on the same day.
Social media was buzzing as fans put the connection together. “I was today years old when I learned that Drew Carey and Ken Jennings share the same birthday,” one surprised fan wrote.
Another added: “Kind of incredible that the hosts of the two most popular and well-known game shows have the same birth date."
“Drew Carey and Ken Jennings were born on the same day 16 years apart,” a third fan noted. “Ken Jennings and Drew Carey on the same day? That’s incredible. Happy Birthday to the both of ya!” someone else commented.
Ken Jennings got his own round of applause from fans after stepping onto the Jeopardy stage on Thursday. “50 looks good on him. Ken was in for a big surprise when he walked onto the #Jeopardy! stage today,” one viewer posted.

Yet another surprised fan posted: “I didn’t know Ken shares a birthday with Drew Carey from The Price Is Right."
But on Carey’s birthday episode, things took a small turn.
During the show, contestant Jeffrey wore a shirt that read: “2024 with the soon-to-be legendary Drew Carey.”
Drew didn’t quite take the wording in stride. He paused, turned away, and asked: “Soon to be legendary?”
As the moment grew tense, announcer George Gray jumped in: “That’s our show! Good night, everybody!”
Trying to laugh it off, Jeffrey clapped and waved to the crowd. “That’s a wrap,” he said, still visibly feeling uncomfortable.
